olunteers are sought to help youth in foster care, particularly in Windward O‘ahu. Project Visitation, through
Family Programs Hawai‘i, is a program for brothers and sisters placed in different re- source care homes to come together through community volunteers’ efforts.
Project Visitation’s goal for 2022 is to have once-a-month visits for siblings. Volunteers must have a valid driver’s license, go through a background check, and have a licensed and insured vehicle.
Family Programs Hawai‘i is a nonprofit so- cial service agency that strengthens youth and families to empower communities. Improving the lives of children and families involved in the child welfare system is central to the orga- nization. Its vision is for every child to reach their full potential, especially those who are or may become involved in foster care. It is led by president and CEO Keith Kuboyama.
To volunteer, call 808-521-9531, visit familyprogramshawaii.org/volunteer and fill out the online form, or email volunteer@ familyprogramshawaii.org.
