The organization presented awards to employees, volunteer groups and local organizations to recognize their hard work throughout the pandemic. ax season is upon us, and West O‘ahu residents seeking assistance needn’t look further.
AARP Foundation Tax Aide is a nation- wide program that’s staffed by volunteers who are trained and certified by the IRS. The best part? It’s free, and participants don’t need to be a member of AARP to receive help.
AARP Foundation Tax Aide is offered in-person (masks are recommended), but a drop-off service is also available. In West O‘ahu, check out the following locations:
• Villages Of Kapolei Recreation Center 2 Mauna Hall (91-1050 Kamaaha Loop) from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesdays
• Kroc Community Center (91-3257 Kual- akai Pkwy.) from 9 a.m. to noon Saturdays
• ‘Ewa Beach Public and School Library (91-950 North Road) from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursdays.
The sites are open through April.
