of Hawai‘i celebrated the opening of its new location in Kapolei — the first full-service, new-auto dealership in West O‘ahu — late last month.
MINI of Hawai‘i opened in 2002 as part of the first wave of MINI dealers gaining trac- tion in the United States. The MINI brand is owned by BMW and the two iconic automo- bile companies shared BMW’s Kapi‘olani Boulevard location until 2017, when MINI relocated to its current stand-alone facility on Ala Moana Boulevard. BMW and MINI of Hawai‘i operate BMW of Honolulu, BMW of Maui and BMW of Hawai‘i on Hawai‘i Is- land, and employees and car enthusiasts alike are now enjoying the Kapolei location.
BMW has been awarded “Center of Ex- cellence,” the company’s highest dealership honor, nine times and is consistently the top selling European manufacturer in Hawai‘i.
