Volunteer staff members of Hawaiian Hope have partnered with Windward Community College to donate refurbished laptops to students who complete the digital readiness courses, which are scheduled for this month.

indward Community College will provide free three-hour digital readiness courses for O‘ahu res-
idents age 18 and over with little or no com- puter skills throughout the month of March. This is the last round of these classes that will be offered, according to Windward CC officials.
After completing a course in basic com- puter operations, including how to use the in- ternet and create an email account, students will receive additional free online resources for improving their digital skills.
They will also be entered into a drawing to win one of 25 refurbished laptop computers. Students will also receive technical hard-
ware and software support from Hawaiian Hope, which is providing the refurbished laptops for this program.
The course will also introduce students to Hawai‘i’s Emergency Broadband Benefit and Remote Workers programs.
