Kāne‘ohe Man Aboard Missing Flight Is Still Remembered
U.S. Army Spc. 5 Guy Wicks Kinnison of Kāne‘ohe is being remembered this month as he was aboard a missing flight that dis- appeared 60 years ago on March 16, 1962.
Flying Tiger Line Flight 739. The event will be shown live on WAA’s official Face- book page (facebook.com/ events/687344465963028) and on wreathsacrossamer- ica.org/radio. It can also be heard via the iHeart Ra- dio app.
has been done for these families,” states Worces- ter. “I said that day that we would do something to make sure these people are honored and remembered, and to hopefully give some closure to these families.”
Flying Tiger Line Flight 739 was on a secret mission sanctioned by former Presi- dent John F. Kennedy to fly to Vietnam.
According to WAA offi- cials, very little is known about what happened to FTLF 739 and its crew and passengers, and due to the circumstance surrounding this mission, the names of those lost have not yet been added to the Vietnam Veter- ans Memorial in Washing- ton, D.C.
A U.S. Senate bill seeks to have these long-forgot- ten heroes added to the list of names on the Vietnam War Memorial in Washing- ton, D.C.
This secret Vietnam re- connaissance operation went missing and no trace of the plane or its passengers have ever been found. On board were 93 United States Army soldiers and 11 civilian crew- members.

WA A officials ask that individuals who want to see these people recog- nized can write their sen- ator and ask them to add the names associated with FTLF 739 to the Vietnam War Memorial.
On Wednesday, March 16, Wreaths Across Amer- ica will be streaming a live event to remember and com- memorate the anniversary of
