ocated in Waimānalo, the Hawai‘i Job Corps campus announces that it has immediate availability to safely
house, feed, and educate qualified applicants and place them directly into employment in the community.
The center has the ability to serve 211 stu- dents ages 16-24 in areas such as culinary arts, security and protective services, build- ing construction technology, automotive repair, painting, office administration, land- scaping and certified nurse assistant training.
According to center officials, the COVID-19 pandemic significantly forced it to reduce the number of students it has served over the past year and a half. However, with effective vaccines and continued safety pre- cautions, it is now ready to resume in-person learning. It has already demonstrated that it is able to house and serve students safely and effectively despite COVID, center represen- tatives emphasize. The program has proto- cols and policies in place to track COVID symptoms, test and prevent an outbreak.
