Windward Mall recently partnered with the Coalition for a Tobacco-Free Hawai‘i Youth Council to help raise awareness of the impacts of tobacco use with a display of slippers in Center Court. From Jan. 9 through 30, the Youth Council gathered the slippers at the mall. “The Windward Mall ʻohana is committed to support- ing educational projects or campaigns advocating the harmful effects of smok- ing and vaping with our keiki and adolescents,” states Cesar Topacio, gen- eral manager of Windward Mall. “We were pleased to host the Youth Council’s campaign and will contin- ue to support their efforts

moving to an online-only store format at globalvil- lagekailua.com and will be doing its first pop-up at Kailua’s Aloha Home Market on April 24. “The thought of giving up the brick-and-mortar space that has housed the store for the past 22 years was not our first choice, or an easy deci- sion,” states Dawn Ravelo, one of the shop’s owners.
