ll Urgent Care Hawai‘i walk-in clinics across the island — includ- ing one location in Kailua — are
now part of the Adventist Health Castle network, an acquisition the hospital’s pres- ident Ryan Ashlock says is more a melding of like-minded objectives.
“Adventist Health Castle and Urgent Care Hawai‘i share a goal of improving the health and well-being of the communities we serve,” he says.
“When our respective teams were in- troduced, it was clear that our similar mis- sions and shared goals could be achieved better together.”
Opening in 2011, Urgent Care Hawai‘i founder and CEO Donna Schmidt initial- ly sought to bridge the divide between physicians and emergency services. Since then, however, the company has expanded its involvement in the community, man- ning first-aid tents at large events, offering health screenings, attending health fairs
