Windward O‘ahu Hālau Perform At Prince Lot Hula Festival
Two Windward O‘ahu hula hālau will perform in Moanalua Garden Founda- tion’s virtual 44th annual Prince Lot Hula Festival. It will air 7-9 p.m. Oct. 28 on KHON2.
Instead of a live in-person event, this year’s virtual fes- tival was filmed at historic Queen Emma Summer Pal- ace and features nine hula hālau in an inspiring program of hula with special messages of aloha from each kumu.
The two Windward hālau are Hālau Kilipohe Nā Lei Lehua, led by nā kumu Hula Kalikokalehua Cooke and Sky Kanoelani Gora of Kāne‘ohe; and the award-winning Ka Leo O Laka I Ka Hikinia O Ka Lā led by kumu hula Kaleo Trinidad, also of Kāne‘ohe.
