wa Beach’s highly anticipated waterfront recreation venue, Wai Kai, opened March 25, and
“Many community members have said Wai Kai exceeded their expectations,” states general manager Greg Champion. “From serious athletes to families, every- one is having a lot of fun.”
Located across from Hoakalei Coun- try Club, Wai Kai is the next phase of the planned resort community’s development, says Champion.
At the epicenter of this new venue is Wai Kai Wave — Hawai‘i’s first deep-water standing wave, spanning 100 feet wide and adjustable from 2 to 6 feet high. Created in collaboration with Citywave and Red Bull high-performance surf coach Shane Beschen, the artificial wave offers surfers a one-of-a-kind experience.
