Hawai‘i State Federal Credit Union is accepting applications for its 2023 stu- dent scholarship program, and Westside residents are welcome to apply. The credit union will award 20 schol- arships worth $5,000 to Ha- wai‘i students planning to attend university, college or trade school.

The scholarships are open to all Hawai‘i State FCU members and their depen- dents. Those who apply must demonstrate financial need, plan to attend an institution of higher education full time and have a minimum 2.5 cu- mulative GPA, among other requirements.
To date, the credit union has awarded nearly $1 mil- lion in scholarship money to Hawai‘i students.
