fter nearly 20 years of working at some of O‘ahu’s established sushi restaurants, Lance Yamamoto made
the move up the culinary ladder to become a restaurateur.
Born and raised in Hawai‘i, Yamamoto grad- uated from Kaimukī High School before going on to earn a degree in business from Universi- ty of Hawai‘i at Mānoa. He worked at Genki Sushi for 11 years prior to gaining eight more years of experience at Kuru Kuru Sushi. He then made a monumental career move, seizing the opportunity to take over ownership of Sushi Bay in 2013.
Sushi Bay is a kaiten-style conveyor belt su- shi restaurant that offers counter and booth seat- ing where customers can enjoy their favorite su- shi, cooked items and udon noodle choices. The eatery is located conveniently on Farrington Highway in Kapolei and offers selections for the entire family.
“We strive to provide quality sushi, great portions, affordable prices and friendly custom- er service to all of our guests,” says Yamamoto,
