“There are so many options and opportunities for people who have digital and comput- er skills and so many barriers and hurdles for those with- out,” states Leslie Wilkins, chair of the Workforce De- velopment Council. “Hawaiʻi must proactively address the digital skills gap we face in our islands to ensure that ev- eryone is able to work and live life to the fullest. It’s not just about jobs and careers; it’s about the well-being of all of our communities.”
This effort is part of the Workforce Resiliency Initia- tive, and hopes to lead Ha- waiʻi’s economy toward re- covery.
