Makakilo Couple MAuthors Kids’ Book

akakilo residents Joseph and Dayna Wood envisioned they would pen a book together from the moment
they first met.
“You know when you first start dating and
you talk about all the things you wanted to do together? Well, one of our goals was to become published authors,” says Joseph. “We weren’t quite sure what type of book we wanted to write, but we always knew we wanted to write something.”
It was a dream come true, then, when the couple’s book, The Incredible Adventures of Kinslee and Kallie: How To Build A Snowman, hit the metaphorical shelves of the internet not long ago. The story follows the lives of Kins- lee and Kallie (the Woods’ real-life children) as they work together to create a snowman.
“Our first inspiration was, of course, our two daughters,” says Joseph. “Writing about their journey through life and the different adventures that they partake in will allow their childhood to live on even when they become adults.
