Dr. Braxton Fukutomi joins the internal medicine department at Kaiser Permanente’s Mapunapuna medical offiffice. A graduate of University of Hawai‘i’s John A. Burns School of Medicine, he trained at Kaiser Permanente Hawai‘i’s Internal Medicine Residency Program. He also mentors medical school students at UH and JABSOM.
Rosemary Peh has been hired as senior vice president, head of data and analytics in First Hawaiian Bank’s data science and analytics division. She will develop and deliver enterprise-wide data and analytics capabilities to help the bank become a data-driven organization. She has been a Venture Program competition judge at University of Hawai‘i’s Shidler College of Business since 2017.
Ryker Wada is vice president and director of human resources services at Hawai‘i Employers Council. He will oversee HR consulting, training, organizational development and effffectiveness. He has more than 20 years of management experience and was most recently director for the state Department of Human Resources Development.

Candace Kaanaana has been promoted to general manager at Food Solutions International for FCH Enterprises Inc., the parent company of Zippy’s Restaurants. She will lead a USDA- and FDA-certifified food production facility that is the central kitchen for all Zippy’s Restaurants. She was previously manager of the company’s Menu Management Department.
Lance Ming is senior vice president of deposit and fee products at Central Pacifific Bank. He will manage consumer deposit accounts, small-business deposit accounts, debit cards, product and miscellaneous fees, and ATMs. Ming played an instrumental part in the launch of the bank’s Shaka Checking, the state’s fifirst all- digital checking account that resulted in approximately 4,000 new accounts.
Karen Tan has joined UHA Health Insurance’s board of directors.
