The ‘Moore,’ The Better For This Mom
“It is kind of neat to ex- press to the next generation coming up that things really do have meaning and senti- mentality, versus ‘I just got this from the store for $10, I’ m going to throw this away and get another,’” shares Moore. “I think people are really getting connected to their things and they want to keep them around.”
For her part, Moore, who’s no stranger to entre- preneurship, heard the pre- vious owner was retiring and, as a long time custom- er, knew how valuable — and rare — this service was. She took the helm in 2017 and it’s been an electrifying journey ever since.
“I think that should al- ways be the basis of some- body starting a business or continuing a business — are you helping someone? Are you filling the need? Am I making somebody happy? the bigger picture. I remem- ber raising my daughters when they were young and it can get all-encompassing. I think if you step back and work through it, put fires out at your own company, the bigger picture makes a big difference. Being self-suf- ficient was a reward for me in itself and spending more time with my kids. Juggling everything was challenging but I think the rewards are bigger.”
