Friends Pick You Up When You Fall
  Dear Darah,
On Saturday, April 30, I fell by Macy’s in Windward Mall. I would like to give a belat- ed thank you to my friend Rosemary Itamoto from ‘Ewa, and two people who I did not know, Edan Leasure from Pearl City and Jacque- line Amai of Kāne‘ohe. Also thank you to the Kāne‘ohe Base EMS workers Chris Coolna and Belinda Lee, whocametomyaid.Iam doing OK and going to phys- ical therapy. Again, mahalo for your concern and coming to my rescue.

of Sunset Auto in Wahiawā. We’ve been taking our vehi- cles to Matt for many years now and he is consistently helpful, patient, professional, honest, fair and goes the extra mile to get the job done. We really appreciate how hard he works. Recently, he helped us navigate our insurance claim for a catalytic converter theft on one of our vehicles, and patiently explained to us that we had tried to text photos to his landline! Matt isn’t part of a big chain company and since he’s the owner, we can’t send a letter to his boss saying what an awesome em- ployee he is. Thanking Matt when we pick up our vehicle doesn’t seem to be enough. He deserves to be recognized

Honolulu Emergen- cy Services Department spokeswoman Shayne Enright says, “The para- medics from the Kāne‘ohe Emergency Medical Ser- vices unit are grateful to Ms. Debina for sharing her update. Falls are the leading calls to 911 and can often result in very serious injuries. We also would like to thank those who came to Ms. Debina’s aid before the arrival of first responders. It is so important that we all look out for one another.”

What scared me is she hit her head. I reached over to help her and luckily there were two other people who came to help us. What amazed me is she didn’ t spill an inch of her drink! We waited for the ambu- lance and security guards to come.
