In Love With The Film Set Life
It’s no secret that Las Ve- gas is the Entertainment Capital of the World, and former Wai‘anae resident Sheena Galariada is right in the heart of that action. Galariada currently works as a supervising producer on a new show for the History Channel and produces con- tent for UFC. She’s helped with popular TV shows like Pawn Stars and Tanked, as well as numerous interviews with top celebrities.

A Ninth Islander since 2008, Galariada spends her time off with her husband, Ja- cob, and two children hiking, camping, paddleboarding, snowboarding and traveling to nearby states.
After graduating from high school, Galariada attended college in California and then made her move to the Ninth Island.
“What I love about Vegas is that it’s versatile,” she says. “We have the option to live a very simple, laid-back life just like back home in Ha- wai‘i, or we could enjoy the city and nightlife.”
“I’ d have to say one of the biggest highlights of my career was meeting George Clooney on the set of Up in the Air,” she says. “Oth- er highlights include inter- viewing Nick Carter from the Backstreet Boys, NFL foot- ball player Antonio Brown, Jason Mraz and Gabriel Ig- lesias. Oh, and it was pretty amazing to receive compli-
ments from Howie Mandel, Ludacris and Wyclef Jean on my ability to produce and direct.”

“As much as I loved South- ern California and although I was in the center of the film and TV industry, I felt Vegas was where I needed to be,” she recalls. “I saw what the long-term possibilities and opportunities were. I want- edtofindawaytodowhatI love, but also be able to raise a family.”
