Ward was born on O‘ahu, raised on Hawai‘i Island and gradu- Ingredients:
ated from Hilo High School. She and husband Guy have three children: Chelsea, Joshua and Christina.
• 1 pound hamburger • 1 curry block packet
• 3 small potatoes
• 4 carrots
• 3 cups water
• garlic salt, to taste • oil, for pan
Directions:
Peel and cut potato and carrots, and let set in water.
Cook hamburger, adding garlic salt and drain oil when done. Drain water from potato and carrots, then add to hamburger and stir around for about 5 minutes.
Add 3 cups water and bring to boil. Add curry block packet, and stir to dissolve curry chunks. Simmer and stir occasionally for 1 hour.
Serve over hot rice.
