Waialua-based business Villa Rose LLC
has announced that after eight years of build- ing Waialua Egg Farm, it expects to market its first eggs this month.
It is a cage-free, solar-powered, energy independent, animal-friendly, carbon-neutral egg farm built by local tradesmen to serve Hawai‘i’s community, according to farm of- ficials. It will be selling its eggs locally under the Waialua Fresh brand label.
“Hawai‘i is a unique and special place where we have been fortunate enough to conduct business for many years supplying mainland eggs,” states Tim Luberski, Villa Rose partner. “Our high-quality mainland eggs have been sold in local stores, but the logistics and additional costs of having to transport them here from the mainland is not ideal.
