It is the highest recognition a member of the organization can achieve and recognizes a girl’s commit- ment and service to her local, national, and global com- munity. She was recognized for her project, titled “The Art of Plastic.” To shed light on the overuse of single-use plastics in everyday life, the Windward youth published a children’s book about a plas- tic bottle’s long journey from the trash can to the recy- cling bin. Kayla’s goal was to create a fun and engaging way to teach kids about the importance of recycling and get them thinking about the

Born and raised in Kailua, Keonipa‘a Anoba has been promoted to su- pervisor at Kuilima Farm, which includes 468 acres of agricultural land and farm stands on O‘ahu. In this new role, Anoba will oversee all production maintenance and manage crew, organizing the weekly task lists and field- work. He was previously the maintenance lead at the farm. Before that, he was a crew supervisor with Pono Pacific on other conservation projects and has worked for the organization for nearly seven years. Anoba grad- uated from Kalāheo High School and earned a degree in natural resource manage- ment and conservation from University of Hawai‘i at Mā- noa ... Congrats to Jocelyn
