“For my Eagle Project, I designed and hand-built 200 desk shields in the peak of the COVID pandemic for Pū‘ōhala Elementary School to provide protection for both the students and teachers,” Logan states.
The Medal of Merit is awarded to Scouts who have performed some act of mer- itorious service above and beyond what is normally expected of a youth or adult member of the organization. In addition, the American Legion Auxiliary presented David with a Youth Hero Award, his story will be published in Women’s World magazine this month and in Boys Life magazine’s June/ July issue.
As a matter of fact, being a Scout plays a major role in the lives of members of Troop 311.
