Kāne‘ohe Reader Wonders If Others Have Seen Face On Pali
We have lived in Kāne‘ohe for more than 40 years, and over the past couple of years I have noticed a rock formation on the Pali that I have enjoyed. It appears to me to be the smiling face of Princess Ka‘iulani.
You can see her oval face, her eyes and nose and mouth. And you can imagine that she is wearing either a haku lei, or her typical broad- brimmed hat — depending on the time of day and the direction of the sunlight.
Question: I am wondering if many others in Kāne‘ohe have noticed her smiling face? We have pointed it out to several others on our block and none of them seem to be able to see it. But to us it is impossible to miss.
Shown is a picture I took of a rainbow on the Pali. Ka‘iulani’s face is visible in the left portion of the picture — if you expand it.
