ight-year-old Brayzen Tadaki-Ka- puwai of Kailua is a rising star as a member of Aiwohi Athletics, a gym
featuring the future of boxing talent.
For his coach, Lyndon Patricio, boxing is more than just a combat sport. The 42-year- old instructor first turned to the “sweet sci- ence” as a youngster looking to find disci- pline, and he passes on what he learned to the next generation of athletes as a leader at
Aiwohi Athletics.
Besides Kailua’s Tadaki-Kapuwai, Lyn-
don also recognizes Mark Julien Aiwohi (ranked third in the nation as an interme- diate competitor), Zion Daclison (ranked No. 10 as a junior) as well as Blu Gerardo, Micah Mirafuentes, Landon John Patricio, Shania Patricio, Caleb and Carter Can- tiberos, Dreson Eugenio, Rayden Raymun- do and Dazen Daclison as budding pros- pects and potential national champions who have shined at recent national tournaments.
