cess it via Firefox or Safari browsers for the best view- ing experience. Although it is geared toward Windward CC students, anyone with internet access can sign up and play.
Players become Windward CC students, who begin a new adventure and phase in life armed only with wits, knowledge and experiences. During game play, individu- als can customize their avatar with specifics such as clothes and language (English or Hawaiian) before collecting coins to buy clothes, furni- ture and accessories from the Mongoose Marketplace by catching chickens, growing kalo and checking off items on the in-game daily planner. The game is rooted in the wahi pana (celebrated and storiedplaces),aswellasthe legendary creatures and char- acters of the Windward side of Oʻahu.

“Gaming is giving people common ground and points of interpersonal exploration that didn’t exist before. Each phase of the project had its own level of excitement. Brainstorming is loads of fun and the possibilities seem endless. I hope that players
