Volunteers Plant Native Species To Beautify Kalaeokauna‘oa
Volunteers helped beau- tify the community by planting native species at Kalaeokauna‘oa, or Ka- huku Point, recently. It was all part of an effort by the North Shore Community Land Trust to restore and protect about 39 acres of coastal dune ecosystem.
The volunteer effort was supported by a $5,000 AARP Livable Communi- ties Community Challenge Grant.
