“We met here, married in 1997, and Lucas was born in Honolulu in 1998. We have lived in Kailua most of that time, and Mr. Tinker LLC re- sides in our house. We have always been home-based, which enables us to maintain our reasonable rates, even as we have hired employees,” Cristy says.
Featuring the motto “Ha- waii’s Professional Handy- man,” the company did in- corporate as an LLC (limited liability company) in 2017 with the goal of expanding and hiring employees so that the family could eventually retire.
“We treat our customers like family and they trust us to keep them safe,” she adds.
“Lucas is a handyman in training. He functions most- ly in a helper role, but there are an increasing number of jobs that he is able to handle on his own. He has a par- ticular knack for carpentry and painting. He also helps me out in the home office,” Cristy emphasizes.
Regarding the coronavirus mitigation, the Wolfs explain that they are very careful to ensure safety during these uncertain times.
Besides being skilled with his hands when it comes to fixing things, Mike remi- nisces that he has always passionately loved playing a variety of musical instru- ments from a young age.

Mike has said that there’s no job too nasty for him to tackle, but Cristy declares, “I always say no job too dis- gusting, and that just may be the reason our marriage and business relationship have lasted so long. I literally nev- er have to do anything gross. Happy wife, happy life!”
