or more than 20 years, the city De- partment of Parks and Recreation has spread holiday cheer by putting on
Kapolei City Lights — and this year is cer- tainly no different.
From 5 to 9 p.m. Dec. 10, the West O‘ahu community and beyond are invited to Kapo- lei Hale, located at 1000 Ulu‘ōhia St., for a block party and parade.
Attendees can expect food, fun and fami- ly-friendly festivities, including a variety of vendors and activities, musical performanc- es, and a chance to check out the colorful indoor and outdoor decorations — this year inspired by the underwater environment. The 50-plus-foot pine tree, which was carefully selected by the DPR’s Division of Urban Forestry, will be the centerpiece of the cel- ebrations.
Meanwhile, the parade begins at 6 p.m. on Fort Barrette Road outside of Kapolei High School, turns left onto Kapolei Park- way (the primary viewing area), and ends on Kama‘aha Street.
