ll dogs go to heaven. This may or may not be true, but Fur-Angel Foundation and its president Tiffa-
ny Kim of Kapolei are helping some unfor- tunate dogs get a piece of heaven on Earth by placing them in new homes.
Fur-Angel Foundation, a nonprofit that helps dogs find loving families, was founded by Kim, Raina Itagaki, Kylie Nakachi and Gladys DelaCruz in 2014. The organization has since made 485 dogs’ lives better.
“We heard about a hoarding situation where 50-plus dogs needed homes and we wanted to help,” explains Kim. “In doing so, we decided we wanted to assist our commu- nity in a bigger way, which prompted us to create the Fur-Angel Foundation.”
The nonprofit was born out of compassion and the feeling is apparent at every level of the organization. In fact, Kim revealed she even welcomed Fur-Angel Foundation dogs into her own family.
“I love to adopt senior dogs that some- times get overlooked due to their age,” SEE PAGE 4
