Find Pumpkins Galore At Aloun Farms
Fall is officially here and, to celebrate, Aloun Farms is holding its 20th annual Pumpkin Festival, the lon- gest-running event of its kind in Hawai‘i, during the last three weekends of October (15-16, 22-23 and 29-30).
ees can expect food and craft vendors, free tractor hayrides through hundreds of acres, a petting zoo, keiki activities and entertainment. A farmers market will also be ongoing for residents to peruse the farm’s signature ‘Ewa sweet corn, string beans, sweet on- ions, eggplant, ginger, zuc- chini, gourds and rare pink Cinderella pumpkins.
“This is a really special year for us,” states Alec Sou, president and general man- ager of the West O‘ahu farm. “We are celebrating our 20th pumpkin festival during our family farm’s 45th anniver- sary. It is even more exciting that we can share this mile- stone with longtime partners Ho‘opili and Meadow Gold, which is also celebrating their 125th anniversary.”
