Updates On A Resolution, Tax Exemptions, City Parks
Homeowners who live on their property are encour- aged to file a claim for a home exemption to reduce their real property assess- ments and taxes by the Sept. 30 deadline.
A change in ownership or use voids the exemption and must be reported to the city Real Property Assessment Division within 30 days of the transaction. Failure to no- tify the city will subject the claimant to back taxes and a penalty for each year that the change remains unreported.
