Aloha! In November 2020, I was elect- ed as one of nine members of Honolulu City Council and currently rep- resent City Council District 9. I also serve as chair of the Committee on Parks and Community Service as well as the vice chair of the Committee on Public Safe- ty. Most people know me by my stage name, Augie T. For the last three decades, I performed stand-up comedy and now host a radio show on Honolulu’s Decades 107.9. Public service is my passion. I believe in doing
what you love and serving your community. To that end, here are some of the issues that my staff and I are working on at Honolulu Hale.
The new Honolulu Coun- cil district lines were final- ized by the 2021 Council Reappointment Commis- sion and the boundaries for District 9 will change in the upcoming election. When the elections take place, District 9 will no longer in- clude Waikele, Village Park,
Royal Kunia and Mililani Town. Instead, the new dis- trict lines will include larg- er portions of the Waipahu and ‘Ewa communities. For more information about the new council district areas and maps, please visit hono- lulu.gov/elections/reappor- tionment.creating.
