When the day center re- opens, McCorriston says that it will cater solely to kūpuna who meet certain criteria based on strict protocols and healthguidelinessetforthby the Centers for Disease Con- trol and Prevention, and the state Department of Health. For example, clients must be fully vaccinated, and safe pickup and drop-off proce- dures will be implemented. The classroom will also utilize distancing and class- room “bubbles,” meaning small groups of clients will be assisted by a dedicated staff member for that group to ensure that bubbles do not mix.
