Blood Bank of Hawai‘i’s headquarters, which is cur- rently located on Dillingham Boulevard in Honolulu, is being displaced due to the Honolulu Authority for Rap- id Transportation’s rail proj- ect — but not for long, as the nonprofit will soon get a new 18,000-square foot, state-of- the-art facility in Kapolei.

Congressman Ed Case — who is a member of the U.S. House Committee on Appropriations, which is responsible for all federal discretionary spending — announced that $2 million of federal funding was secured for the project. The act was signed into law by President Joe Biden earlier this month.
