or a 60-second, horizontal video clip of themselves performing their “Paradise Plunge” via wetransfer. com to development@so- hawaii.org. The deadline for submissions is April 24. Following the comple- tion of the event, Special Olympics Hawai‘i, which is based in Kapolei, will release a 2022 Paradise Plunge compilation video
on April 29 that partici- pants can share with donors and supporters.
All participants are asked to share a video or photo of themselves performing any type of water activity — such as surfing, bodyboard- ing, snorkeling or taking the plunge in a swimming pool.
Participants can take the plunge by planning a day to “sea” their favorite beach or going diving, boating, surfing, or even taking a dip in the swimming pool if they’d prefer. Plungers are asked to send photos
New to this year’s fund- raiser is the opportunity to be invited to an exclusive Plunge Party on a 50-feet catamaran hosted by O‘ahu Boat Cruises.
The event is open to in- dividuals, families and stu- dent groups, and anyone else who wants to take the plunge to support Special Olympics Hawai‘i athletes. All plungers are asked to raise a minimum $100 do- nation to receive a Paradise Plunge event shirt. There is also a reduced fundraising goal of $50 for students of all ages, elementary
Proceeds from this fund- raiser will help Special Olympics Hawai‘i continue to provide free year-round sports trainings and compe- tition and health, wellness and leadership programs for over 3,400 athletes statewide with intellectual disabilities.
