‘Ewa Beach Students ‘Paint’ The Rainbow At Their School
‘Ilima Intermediate School students who are enrolled in an art class are repainting campus bathrooms with their own designs. The effort is led by TA vice principal Kerri Fukuda, who shares that the idea behind this initiative is to allow keiki to take ownership of their school. “The students felt strongly about updating our boys and girls restrooms by repainting the walls with murals,” says Fukuda. “Our physical surroundings
can impact how we feel in
a particular space. I hope
our students will enjoy the transformation and that it would encourage them to take care of our restrooms and keep it clean.
