hile local drivers have come to count on the “Midas touch” when it comes to taking care of their cars
at Midas Hawai‘i, the local company recently introduced a new operation that is quickly set- ting the gold standard for car wash services.
Robert and Dianne Pereira, owners of Midas Hawai‘i since 1978, have continued to serve as innovators in the automotive service and care industry. For the last 25 years, Robert thought about opening a car wash next to Midas, and despite being faced with challenges caused by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Gold Touch Car Wash was launched at the Midas Waipahu location at 94-709 Farrington Hwy.
“He envisioned it as being an additional service to our many loyal customers, and also as a way to introduce people to a state-of-the- art car wash at affordable prices,” Dianne says of the inspiration for it. “Enjoy a new experi- ence in the tunnel with brushes that mimic a hand-wash that are made of neoprene. You get a much more quiet, pleasant and safer wash here.”
