ames Campbell Co. has filed an environ- mental impact statement preparation no- tice with the city for the redevelopment of
The Cove at Ko ʻOlina. The company hopes to revitalize the 10.85-acre lot, which is currently home to Paradise Cove Lūʻau, to include an entertainment venue, retail shops, restaurants and more.
“The property was last redeveloped nearly 30 years ago,” states Steve Kelly, president of James Campbell Co.’s Kapolei properties divi- sion. “JCC began ... to explore future uses for this property, including opportunities to create a project that would showcase the West O‘ahu community, attracting both local residents and visitors alike, and expand employment oppor- tunities. We feel this special property’s next chapter is as a contemporary gathering place ... that embraces Hawaiian culture and re- spects the history of the place.”
Comments about the proposed development can be sent to thecovekoolina@g70.design through July 23. Learn more about the project at oeqc2.doh.hawaii.gov.
