Central Pacific Bank Foundation, along with local sports stars like Wai‘anae’s DeForest Buckner and ‘Ewa Beach’s Marcus Mariota, teamed up to donate funds to gift area high schools with supplies, athletic equipment, cleaning costs, personal protective equipment, security, transportation and game officials. CPB Foundation granted $100,000 toward the cause, while its partners contributed the rest. Maria Buckner (third from left) came on behalf of DeForest, while Ed Nishioka (second from right), who is the director of Mariota’s Motiv8 Foundation, represented the Raiders quarterback.
