“Like many parents, we were a little scared and un- sure of our parenting skills. I mean, how do you to take care of, raise and develop this beautiful new baby into a happy, successful and caring adult?
West Oʻahu parents, care- givers, tūtū, aunties, uncles and everyone in between are invited to attend Family Ex- positions’ latest exhibit, New Baby Fair, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. May 14-15 at Ka Maka- na Aliʻi.
“(I love) seeing the smiles on parents’ faces when they’re strolling the aisles looking at all the various products and services, and then realizing after seeing all the other new and ex- pectant parents that they are not alone,” Lau-Parish says about her favorite part of the job. “We also enjoy helping and supporting local busi- nesses and organizations to reach this highly targeted audience with their products and services.”

Free to the public, the event will feature more than 50 ven- dors — of which 95% are lo- cal — and nonprofits that are eager to connect ʻohana with valuable resources.

More than 20 years ago, the founders were new par- ents themselves, in search of information, local resources, products and services — but kept coming to dead ends.
“It’s at that moment that we decided to create the New Baby Fair, a place where new parents and expectant parents could come to find all the parenting resources, products and services they need, all in one convenient place.”
