project titled #KindnessHeals, and West Oʻa- hu teens are invited to join the cause.
Through Feb. 24, students can create a PPE mask design (following the “Kindness Heals” theme), then submit photos or a short video to enter.
“If history has taught us anything, it is that hate is a virus, and kindness, acceptance and coming together as a community is the only real cure,” states Jennifer Sabas, direc- tor of Daniel K. Inouye Institute. “As we face our greatest battle against COVID-19 and our country seeks to mend our internal divisions, we have the opportunity to see this as a teachable moment for our youth, and al- low them to inspire us through their messag- es of hope.”
