Todd Takayama is president and CEO of First Insurance Co. of Hawai‘i. He has more than 30 years of insurance industry experience in California and Hawai‘i. He joined FICOH’s underwriting division in 2010 as an underwriting manager and has held roles of increasing responsibility over the years. He was chief underwriting officer in 2020 and promoted to president in 2022.
Stacey Ishii joins Chaminade University as vice president of operational and strategic leadership in the school’s communications and marketing division. She brings more than a decade of experience to the team, and will help develop and implement a strategy to increase recruitment of students from Hawai‘i and students of Native Hawaiian and Pacific Island ancestry.
Thushara Perera is chief financial officer of Resorttrust Hawai‘i, parent company of The Kāhala Hotel & Resort. He will oversee finances for both entities while leading the accounting, IT, purchasing and retail departments. Perera joined the company in 2017 and has managerial experience at hotels and resorts in Hawai‘i, California and Colorado.

Dayna Matsumoto has joined Central Pacific Bank’s Managing Committee. She is senior vice president and controller at CPB and has oversight of controllers, quantitative risk management, financial planning and analysis, and treasure and business continuity/vendor management. She has nearly 20 years of accounting, audit and finance experience, including 16 with CPB.
Angel Jacinto has been promoted to chef de cuisine at Kāhala Nui. He will lead and manage all kitchen activities. Jacinto has more than 25 years of culinary experience and was previously lead cook at the retirement home. He also worked at Wai‘alae Country Club, Aaron’s Atop the Ala Moana, Sarento’s Top of the Ilikai and launched the lunchwagon Triple G Catering in 2010.
Carole Peterson is director of international programming at University of Hawai‘i’s William S. Richardson School of Law. She will further the school’s mission of outreach and opportunity, and elevate international expertise and opportunities. Peterson has taught law in Hong Kong and was graduate chair of the Matsunaga Institute for Peace and Conflict Resolution.
