Aquaint mu‘umu‘u haven in Ka- ka‘ako, DeStash Hawai‘i is owned by avid collector and crafter Lei Batty, a self-proclaimed addict to all things vintage.
When she downsized from a house to a con- do in 2017, Batty decided to share her love for Hawaiian fashion by opening a shop for all to enjoy, rather than purging her beloved inventory.
“I love the memories customers recall when going through all the mu‘umu‘u,” she says. “Most pieces have a story, whether it’s brand, style or fabric. If I know the provenance, I share it.”
At 736 South St. No. 103, Batty s
