Calvin Yamasaki
Tanaka of Tokyo Restaurants Ltd. is pleased to announce that Calvin Yamasaki has been promoted to senior vice president and chief administrative officer. Yamasaki joined Tanaka of Tokyo in 1999. He will work directly with the chairman and CEO, and assist with expansion planning as a member of the executive committee.

Dr. Kerian Dodds joins Adventist Health Castle as its new gastroenterologist. Dodds is a board-certified, fellowship-trained gastroenterologist from George Washington University Hospital in Washington, D.C. She cares for patients with gastrointestinal issues, including colon cancer, GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease), celiac disease and general abdominal pain.
Mason Chow has been promoted from project engineer to assistant superintendent at Nordic PCL Construction Inc. Chow began his career with Nordic PCL as an intern in 2017 while he was still a student at University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa. He became a field engineer with the company in 2018.

Leslie Hanawahine has joined Pono Pacific Land Management LLC as farm manager of Kuilima Farm. She will oversee operations at the 25-acre farm and support infrastructure and partner farms on O‘ahu’s North Shore. Hanawahine was previously greenhouse supervisor for IDEC farms, and also worked at Nalo Farms for 20 years.
Michael Ching is senior vice president and senior manager at Bank of Hawai‘i. He had previously been a vice president and treasury investment officer at the bank. He has been with Bank of Hawai‘i since 2005, holding a number of roles in its investment services, online and mobile banking, and treasury departments.
Mika Hongo was promoted from construction modeling coordinator to integrated construction technology specialist at Nordic PCL Construction Inc. She joined Nordic in 2018 and has worked on projects for Straub Clinic at Ka Makana Ali‘i, The Queen’s Medical Center-West O‘ahu and Lilia Waikīkī.
