    At the Pacific & Asian Affairs Council, we empower Hawaiʻi’s high school youth to en- gage with the world and the pressing global issues of our time. Students learn about what is happening beyond our shores and their connection to Hawaiʻi. A recent participant says, “I am grateful for the leadership, global education and community that PAAC has given me.”
a local nonprofit with a mis- sion to promote understand- ing and empower engagement on global and international issues with special atten- tion to Hawaiʻi’s role in the Asia-Pacific region. PAAC has provided global educa- tion to 99,182 high school students and has hosted 1,516 international visitors through the state Department’s Inter- national Visitor Leadership Program.
Upon program completion, students are eligible for a $1,000 travel scholarship with PAAC.

 PAAC prepares the next generation of leaders for an increasingly interconnected world by offering a variety of programs for students throughout Hawaiʻi. Students explore new ideas and uncov-

PAAC will resume its summer study tour pro- gram in June 2023, where students travel to a country in the Asia-Pacific region. Scholarships are available to help make this experience possible. Other ways to get involved with PAAC are through clubs, conferences and a variety of offerings.
