In his recent GQ cover story, Brad Pitt says the next phase of his career will be the final one. The 58-year-old has a few movies coming out soon, including Bullet Train (Aug. 5), Babylon (Dec. 25) and an untitled thriller with this veteran actor who’s familiar with the islands, especially Kaua‘i, following his time there shooting The Descendants.
A prequel for The Hunger Games will star Josh Andres Rivera, and his co-star/real-life girlfriend Rachel Zegler. It’s called The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, and opens Nov. 17, 2023. The movie will also include this actor — known for his role in Billy the Kid — who will portray Coriolanus Snow.
Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy reunite for Hocus Pocus 2, which takes place 29 years after the original. The flick hits Disney+ in September and will fea- ture newcomers Whitney Peak, Belissa Escobedo and Lilia Buckingham as high schoolers. The film will also star Sam Richardson, Doug Jones, Hannah Waddingham, Froyan Gutier-
rez and this actor/comedian who’s known for his roles in Arrested Development and Veep.
Twelve years ago this week, Leonardo DiCaprio explored the malleability of time and reality in Inception. The futuristic sci-fi hit served up a mix of dystopian and utopian vibes — and was directed by 11-time Oscar winner Christopher Nolan. Nolan’s upcoming film on
J. Robert Oppenheimer takes us back to a time when the future looked distinctly dystopian, and features this actor, who co-starred with DiCaprio in Inception.
