“On March 8, I took mymomtoadoc- tor’s appointment and was alerted by my alarm com- pany that our living room window and indoor alarm had triggered. In the mean- time, my awesome neighbors (The Uzas and Agapaoas) had called me. HPD officers waited until I arrived and did not leave until they checked the inside of our house to ensure that no one was hid- ing. Prior to my arrival, they had checked the perimeters. I felt so confident and grate- ful for their caring and thor- oughness in checking every detail of a possible break in.
I did not get any names of the three officers since I was in panic mode. But I’ d like to send them a big mahalo! Many times, we call officers for their help and assistance and rely on their judgment to protect us, and they do not get the appropriate mahalo. They are there to help us in need and we need to trust them and thank them.”
