     Elizabeth Bryant has been elected to the board of trustees for Hawai‘i Pacific University. Her appointment to the governing board will help in leading the mission and long-term goals of the university. She is vice president for Southwest Airlines University based in Dallas, Texas, and provides executive leadership for employee professional development at the airlines.
Royce Fukuroku has been appointed to vice president and commercial banking assistant manager for Central Pacific Bank’s Maui Commercial Banking Center. In his new role, Fukuroku is responsible for developing and maintaining business-client relations and overseeing the commercial team for the island of Maui. He has over 10 years of experience in the financial industry.
Amber Yonamine is an associate for Damon Key Leong Kupchak Hastert. Yonamine practices in the firm’s business and commercial, real estate, and wills, trusts, and estate practice groups. She earned her law degree from Willamette University College of Law, where she graduated cum laude and served as vice president of the Asian Pacific American Law Student Association.
Dr. Albert Ing has joined Adventist Health Castle as a cardiologist. Ing is board-certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease and is the director of the cardiopulmonary department. He promotes healthy lifestyle changes and uses the latest medications and testing available to improve quality of life. He completed his residency and fellowship at Episcopal Hospital in Philadelphia.
Filifotu Vaai has been promoted to executive director of consumer product and sales at Hawaiian Telcom. Vaai leads the business’ consumer product strategy and develops and manages sales strategies and goals. She previously served as director of product strategy. Vaai is a member of the Pacific Islands Telecommunications Association and Chamber of Commerce Hawai‘i’s Young Professionals Program.
Duff Janus has rejoined Alexander & Baldwin as senior director of development. Previously he was the director of planning and development at Kamehameha Schools and was responsible for the Ke Ali‘i Pauahi’s commercial real estate lands within Kapālama, Mō‘ili‘ili, Ka‘ōnohi, Kāhala, and Waipahu. He serves as the district chair of the Hawai‘i District Council of the Urban Land Institute.
