Hawai‘i Keiki is hiring certified Medical Assistants to serve as School Health Support for the HIDOE. The School Health Support
is responsible for assisting in COVID-19 response efforts under the direction of a Hawai‘i Keiki nurse. This position is 32 hours per week during the school year and is located at a HIDOE school.
Medical Assistant certification is required. Applicants must also be a team player with effective verbal and written communication skills. Positions begin early 2022 depending on placement. Positions and are available across the state.
Hawai‘i Keiki is a partnership between UH Ma¯ noa Nancy Atmospera-Walch School of Nursing and the HIDOE to support the DOE to achieve student, school, and system success.

Nurses Make a Difference for Students
The Hawai‘i Keiki RN will support the HI Dept. of Education Complex Areas and provide school-based health services, which includes screening for treatable health conditions, providing referral to primary health care and patient-centered medical home services, preventing and controlling communicable disease and other health problems, and providing emergency care for illness and injury.
Full-time positions are available immediately on O‘ahu, Maui, Hawai‘i Island, and Moloka‘i.
Seeking RNs with effective coordination and interpersonal skills, and the ability to interpret and provide guidance to individual schools. Must be a team player with effective verbal and written communication skills.
