Festivities Benefit Nonprofits
A s the Ninth Island celebrates Christ- mas, the Strip is decked out in holiday decorations and the giant tree in the heart of the Fremont Street Experience is lit. However, there are so many off-Strip holiday attractions to see! Many not only provide a fun, festive experience, but also benefit the local
Spa, Enchant is the new kid on the block for Vegas Christmas attractions. The Enchant team transformed the Las Vegas Ballpark into a win- ter wonderland. From snow to an ice-skating rink, this place makes one forget that they’re in the desert. They have a maze of lights and
holiday décor, as well as shopping, food vendors and a special VIP area. Throughout the holiday season, Enchant has partnered with local non- profits during their giving nights, including the Shane Victorino Foundation and Marcus Mari- ota’s Motiv8 Foundation.
The Vegas weather is also beginning to feel a lot like Christmas. While fall was unusually warm, we’re down to highs in the 50s and have had temperatures below freezing — Mount Charleston even has snow! If you’re planning a trip here this winter, be sure to pack layers.

community. A few of our favorites include:
• Ethel M’s Holiday Cactus Garden in Hen- derson. The 3-acre garden outside of Ethel M’s Chocolates transforms each year into a beauti- ful Christmas-meets-desert display, with over a million impressions of lights. For just a $5 dona- tion (which benefits Three Square Foodbank), a group of up to six can enjoy the garden, snacks,
live music and a meet-and-greet with Santa.
• Glittering Lights at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Each year, the speedway becomes a drive-thru display of over 5 million LED lights. Guests can set their radios to the speedway’s own holiday music station and sip hot cocoa while taking in the festive displays along the drive. The entrance fee covers all passengers who safely fit into the vehicle and benefits multi-
